[bis 16. März] Studie zu queeren Jugendlichen, die von Zuhause weglaufen: „LGBTQ+ Missing children survey“
We are excited to announce the launch of our anonymous LGBTIQ+ Missing Children Survey, co-led by IGLYO, Missing Children Europe and the University of Portsmouth. We are contacting you because of your extensive network as we would love your help in spreading the word about the survey in Germany.
The goal of this survey is to collect qualitative data on the experiences of LGBTIQ+ young people with experience of running away, being forced to leave their home and/or being homeless in an EU country or the UK before the age of 18.
The results of this research will be vital for our ongoing LGBTIQ+ Missing Children project, and will inform all its activities until 2026: a report for professionals, a training for practitioners and stakeholders, an awareness-raising campaign and policy recommendations. We hope this survey is the first step towards the adaptation and expansion of support systems for LGBTIQ+ children at risk of “going missing” as defined in the project, that is running away, being forced to leave their home and/or being homeless before turning 18.
The survey is completely anonymous and available in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, and Spanish. Participants are also optionally invited to join online 60-minute interviews to share their experience.
For this research to be comprehensive and constructive, we need the survey to reach as many people as possible. You can use this Communications Kit with visuals, flyers/posters for print, and ready-made base texts to disseminate the survey through email, social media and other channels. Please use this Comms kit to share the survey on your platforms to reach far and wide across your networks. We will close the survey on 16 March 2025, so feel free to share and repost until then.
If you have any questions, please contact our LGBTIQ+ Missing Children team from IGLYO, Ale (ale@iglyo.org) and Jeremy (jeremy@iglyo.org).
